What does JetBack do?

Most airlines will offer refunds or credits when prices drop after you book, but claiming them is time-consuming. You have to monitor prices yourself and spend hours contacting support. JetBack automates the entire process: spotting price drops, filing claims, and delivering your refund or credits automatically.

How much does JetBack cost?

JetBack costs $99.99 per year for unlimited monitoring, credits, and refunds. No caps, no limits, no hidden fees.

Which airlines does JetBack support?

JetBack works with major U.S. airlines, including United, Delta, American, Southwest, JetBlue, and Alaska. Flights booked directly with non-U.S. airlines are not currently supported.

Will I get cash refunds or airline credits?

You will receive a refund to your original payment card if your flight was booked within 24 hours of when JetBack finds savings, or if you purchased a refundable fare. For non-refundable fares booked more than 24 hours ago, you will receive airline credits (often applied directly to each passenger on the reservation) for future use.

Does JetBack change my original booking?

No. JetBack only secures price-drop credits when it can do so without modifying your reservation. Your booking remains exactly as you made it.

Is my data secure?

Yes. JetBack uses industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your information at every step.

Getting Started

How do I create a JetBack account?

Download the JetBack app from the App Store or Google Play, then sign in using your Apple or Google account. Once you complete sign-in and activate your subscription, your account is ready to use.

How do I set up or update my email address?

After signing in, you can add or update the email address where you receive airline booking confirmations. JetBack can only track flights forwarded from an email address linked to your account, so make sure the correct address is on file.

Can I add more than one email address to my account?

Yes. You can add additional email addresses under Settings > Manage Account. This is useful if you receive booking confirmations at multiple addresses.

Adding & Managing Flights

How do I add a flight to JetBack?

Forward your original airline booking confirmation email (not a PDF or screenshot) to [email protected] from the email address linked to your JetBack account. This is the only supported method, as the original confirmation reliably contains all required pricing and itinerary data.

Do I need to enter flight details manually?

No. JetBack automatically extracts all flight numbers, prices, and passenger details from the airline's original confirmation email.

Why does JetBack require the original airline confirmation email?

The original airline email is the only source that consistently includes the fare type, total price paid, passenger details, and ticket rules needed for automated tracking and eligibility checks. PDFs, screenshots, and third-party receipts do not contain this data in a reliable format.

How long does it take for my flight to appear in the app?

Most flights appear within a few minutes of forwarding the confirmation email. If the flight cannot be added, you will receive an automated reply explaining why. If you don't see the flight or receive any reply, reach out to us through Settings > Support in the app.

Can I submit a booking made through Chase Travel or American Express Travel?

Yes. However, you must forward the original booking confirmation sent directly by the airline, not the travel portal receipt. While portal bookings can work, booking directly through the airline's website remains the most reliable option.

What happens if my flight is ineligible?

You will receive an automated email explaining the reason. Common causes include unsupported airlines, missing or invalid booking information, unavailable pricing data, or the confirmation being sent from an email address not linked to your account. If you believe your flight should be eligible, reach out through Settings > Support in the app.

Why is my flight showing as "Not Monitoring"?

This typically means your JetBack subscription is not currently active. It can occur if the subscription was shared or if you recently switched devices and the app did not sync properly. Check your subscription status and device login, or get in touch through Settings > Support in the app.

Supported Booking Types

Does JetBack support Basic Economy tickets?

Yes. JetBack can monitor Basic Economy tickets for price drops. However, these fares typically carry more restrictions, and airlines apply varying policies to post-booking price adjustments, so the ability to secure credits is not guaranteed. Add your booking and JetBack will monitor it for any eligible savings.

Does JetBack support codeshare bookings?

Yes, as long as the ticket is booked through a U.S.-based airline.

Can JetBack work on international flights?

Yes. JetBack supports international itineraries booked through supported U.S. carriers. For best results, international trips should be booked directly through a supported airline's website so they can be properly tracked.

Can JetBack secure savings on mileage or points bookings?

Yes. When award prices drop and the same flight becomes available for fewer points, JetBack files the claim on your behalf and the difference is returned to your mileage account. That said, cash bookings have the highest success rate, so for the best chance of securing savings, booking with cash is recommended.

Can JetBack work on flights linked to a companion ticket?

JetBack can work on companion ticket bookings, but airlines often block price changes while the companion link is active. Securing savings may require canceling and rebooking the companion, which carries a risk of disruption. JetBack may pause or decline action to protect your itinerary.

Will JetBack ever unlink a companion ticket without my permission?

No. If unlinking is required to proceed, you will be notified first and must confirm before any action is taken.

Will JetBack still work if I selected seats or received an upgrade?

Yes, seat selections do not prevent JetBack from tracking your flight. However, approved upgrades, mileage upgrades, or certain paid add-ons may limit JetBack's ability to secure savings if the airline requires canceling or modifying those benefits to reprice the ticket.

How Savings Work

What happens when JetBack finds a lower price?

When a lower price becomes available for the same flight and fare type, JetBack automatically works to secure the savings with the airline. If successful, you will receive a credit, refund, miles, or points depending on airline rules.

How will I receive my credit or refund?

All credits, refunds, miles, and points are issued directly by the airline. Credits and miles often appear quickly, while card refunds may take several business days to process.

Does JetBack stop tracking after it finds savings once?

No. JetBack continues monitoring your flight until departure. If another price drop occurs and the airline allows it, JetBack will automatically attempt to secure additional savings.

Can JetBack monitor the return flight on a round-trip booking after the outbound leg departs?

No. Once the first leg departs, airlines mark the entire reservation as departed, preventing JetBack from securing savings on remaining legs. For future trips, booking separate one-way tickets allows each flight to remain eligible for monitoring until its own departure.

What types of bookings tend to get the best results?

Flights booked at least a month before departure, in Main Cabin or above, paid in cash, and purchased directly through the airline consistently see the highest success rates. Flights booked well in advance give more time for prices to fluctuate, and direct airline bookings are the most flexible when it comes to securing price adjustments.

Do I need to be on the reservation?

Yes. You must be listed as a passenger on the booking. You can forward any eligible booking, even if others are traveling with you.

Account & Billing

Can I share my JetBack account with someone else?

No. JetBack subscriptions are for individual use only. The account holder must be listed as a passenger on the booking.

Can I transfer my JetBack account to a new phone?

Yes. If you are switching to another phone on the same platform (iPhone to iPhone, or Android to Android), simply install JetBack and sign in with your Apple or Google account. If you are switching between iOS and Android, contact us through Settings > Support in the app for a manual transfer.

What if I signed up with the wrong email address?

Reach out through Settings > Support in the app and the team will update your account.

What if my name doesn't match exactly on the booking?

If the name on the booking does not match the subscriber's name on file, the flight may be rejected. Contact us through Settings > Support in the app to update your name.

Why was I charged more than $99.99?

This is typically due to how Apple processes App Store transactions. Apple may bundle multiple purchases into a single charge, and applicable taxes may also be included. The additional amount is not an extra JetBack fee.

To review what was included in the charge, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then go to Media & Purchases > View Account > Purchase History. If your receipt shows JetBack alone at a price higher than $99.99, reach out through Settings > Support in the app with a screenshot of the receipt.

Referrals & Affiliates

How does the JetBack referral program work?

You can invite friends and family using your personal referral link found in the app. When someone signs up with your link, they receive $15 off their membership and you receive a $15 gift card once their subscription is activated.

How do I find my referral link?

Your referral link is available in the app under Settings. Make sure you are using the latest version of the app. If you are part of the JetBack Affiliate Program, reach out through Settings > Support in the app for assistance.

Why was I charged the regular rate even though I had a referral?

To receive the referral discount, the app must be installed via the referral link. If the app was already installed before you used the referral link, the discount will not apply. To resolve this, uninstall the app, then reinstall using the referral link before signing up.
